Every Moment Dies

“Whether you live for three thousand years or ten thousand, remember that you can only part with the present moment of life. The longest and shortest lives are the same in this respect. The present is all anyone has, and once it’s gone, it’s only a moment you part with. All things in the world perpetually revolve and renew, so seeing the same things for any length of time doesn’t matter much. The life you part with, whether long or short, is the same in duration because it’s only the present you lose.”

~ Marcus Aurelius

Each moment we pass through, leaves us as we journey into the next. The past is forever frozen in time, no longer bearing reality upon us. Do not allow a past moment to dictate your current state. Be totally with the present, so that you can make each moment one that is filled with the glory of being alive.

Who you are is not your past, and it is also not even your dreams nor fears of the future. Who you are is only here and now. That is the place to find yourself; know yourself, and take steps to be fully you as you relate with this existence.
